Recently we released our Thor 3D ABS filament and when we did that we also mentioned we would be releasing some PLA as well. Thor 3D PLA is now available as of today, it comes in 18 different colors and on the same two sizes of spools that the ABS comes on. This makes Thor 3D PLA a great way to expand your color selection for your PLA based printer as well as a way to reduce your print costs.
Just like the ABS Filament we have found it behaves very similarly to the MakerBot brand which means you can maintain your settings you normally use when printing MakerBot filament. Although this filament prints the same it is important to be aware that the shape of the spool is different so you will need a different style of spool holder.
